STYKO commented on his kick from Monte
Professional Counter-Strike 2 player Martin "STYKO" Syk has reflected on the reasons for his departure from Monte. The esports player stated that he understands the team's decision and holds no grudges against his former teammates. Syk shared his thoughts on his personal X account.
"I am leaving Monte. I joined the team during a turbulent period, and in the off-season, Monte decided to shift its direction and continue with a Polish-speaking roster. I completely understand, respect, and support this decision, so after discussions, there was no place left for me in the team.
My 2024 has been a rollercoaster, and I believe a necessary break will help me recharge and regain my passion for the game. I will continue to improve individually until a suitable opportunity arises."
STYKO was with Monte from May to August 2024. During his time with the team, they did not win any championships. The roster earned $32,000 in prize money while he was with the club. STYKO has been replaced by Kamil "KEi" Petkun in Monte. It is not yet known if there will be any further roster changes.
