Astralis CS2 player Martin "stavn" Lund has commented on his team's performance at IEM Cologne 2024 and assessed their form. The Danish player shared his thoughts in an interview with HLTV.org.
"[Question: What can you say about your team's recent results?] It's always tough coming back after a break. You need to find your rhythm again, and I would say we managed to do that in some games. It seems to me that we haven't yet found our best game since returning. When you lose rounds like we have, frustration sets in. So we just need to fix that.
[Question: What was lacking in the matches against G2 and NAVI?] G2 and NAVI are teams we want to compete with. They are top teams and title contenders, and we want to be among them as well. We just need to keep working to reach their level.
[Question: What goals have you set for the rest of the year?] Right now, it’s tough for us, but we need to look forward. IEM Cologne is an important tournament, but the most important is the Major. That’s the goal for every team and our main goal. So now we have enough time to train and see what needs to be fixed."
Astralis finished 9-12th at IEM Cologne 2024. For their performance, Lund's team earned $16,000.
IEM Cologne 2024 runs from August 7 to 18 in Germany. The 24 teams are competing for a prize pool of one million dollars. The champion will also earn slots for IEM Katowice 2025 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2024.
