According to unofficial sources, the tournament organiser StarLadder is set to host the second major event for Counter-Strike 2 next year.
Lewis mentioned that he is somewhat sceptical about these rumours; however, he noted that such discussions are currently prevalent behind the scenes of the professional Counter-Strike scene.
It is worth recalling that the last LAN tournament by StarLadder, the StarSeries i-League Season 8 with a prize pool of half a million dollars, took place in Turkey in the autumn of 2019.
In April this year, StarLadder officially announced its return to competitive Counter-Strike, unveiling four new championships in the StarSeries series set to take place in 2025 and 2026.
It was previously revealed that BLAST will host the first major event for Counter-Strike 2 in 2025, which will be held in Austin, Texas, in June next year. The upcoming tournament in Austin will be BLAST's second Major event for CS.
