StarLadder has revealed details of the StarSeries S20

Tournament operator StarLadder has announced further details about the previously revealed LAN event, StarSeries Season 20. The upcoming championship, with a prize pool of $500,000, is scheduled to take place from September 13-31, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary.

A total of 20 teams will participate in StarLadder StarSeries Season 20. Four of the top teams based on the Valve world rankings will receive direct invites to the main event. The next 12 teams will compete in offline qualifiers, while the remaining four spots will be filled by winners from online qualifiers.

Open qualifiers will be held in Europe, North America, and South America. Dates and additional details for the regional competitions will be announced at the end of 2024.

The group stage of StarSeries S20 will run from September 13-17, featuring 16 teams divided into GSL format groups. The top four teams from each group will advance to the main event, where they will compete alongside the world's best teams in a Double Elimination BO3 format.

It’s worth noting that StarLadder announced its return to the professional Counter-Strike scene in early April and revealed plans for four StarSeries seasons, with two scheduled for next year. Details for StarSeries S19 have yet to be disclosed.
