Staehr: It is possible to win when you play against ZywOo or donk

Astralis player Viktor "Staehr" Staehr evaluated his team's recent performance. In an interview with HLTV, the Danish esports player shared his thoughts on Astralis placing 3rd-4th in their last four tournaments – IEM Chengdu 2024, ESL Pro League Season 19, CCT Global Finals 2024, and YaLLa Compass 2024.

"Overall, it's a good sign that we're consistently reaching the playoff stage and making it to the semifinals, but it's a bit frustrating that we always lose in the semifinals. We hope to go further soon, but we can always celebrate making it to the playoffs, right? Sometimes you'll have bad tournaments and won't even make it that far. It's a mix of emotions because you want to advance as far as possible, maybe to the finals, maybe even win the tournament."

Staehr also shared his expectations for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, which starts tomorrow, June 12.

"It's hard to say. This tournament is the toughest of all; it features only top-tier or near-top-tier teams. Of course, we want to make it to the playoffs and reach the semifinals again, but we also want to go further, which is challenging when you face teams like Team Spirit or Vitality. You can't count on a win when you're up against ZywOo or donk, but we know it's possible, and we know how strong we are when we just play our game.

We hope to go far, but I can't say we expect to win the whole tournament. I'd say we're not certain of it, but we're quite confident in our abilities. We've put a lot of effort in – you could say everything – because after this tournament, we'll be on a three-week break. Let's just give it our all and see what happens. I hope we can make it past the semifinals."

The BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 will take place from June 12 to June 16 in London, United Kingdom. Eight teams will compete for a $425,000 prize pool and a slot at the BLAST Premier World Final 2024. Astralis is grouped with FaZe, NAVI, and SAW.
