Siuhy: "Sometimes we just forget to relax and recover"

Kamil "siuhy" Skaradeck, captain of MOUZ, assessed the results his team has achieved in 2024. In an interview with HLTV.org, Skaradeck noted that the team can take pride in their successes this season.

“The season has been going very well. The only disappointment was IEM Dallas. I think it was one of those tournaments where we could have performed much better, but overall, it has been a really successful season for us. I believe we can all be proud of that. For the next season, we have much higher goals. We just want to perform even better.”

The Polish esports player also mentioned that the team is currently learning to manage their energy effectively to be at their best during important tournaments.

“It’s all about recovery, especially for our team. We are very young, and we often enjoy having fun. We love engaging in different activities, exploring, and spending a lot of energy. Sometimes, we just forget to relax and recover, knowing that a major tournament is ahead.

This is what we’re working on this season. We’re closely collaborating with our sports psychologists and coaches to ensure that we have days where we can do nothing, recover, and relax, so that we approach the next tournament with a clear mind.

I think this is crucial for us because last season, we didn’t pay much attention to it, and it was noticeable at IEM Dallas. We lacked recovery time. We didn’t know how to manage it properly, and arriving in Dallas, we felt like a different team.

We’ve been working on this from the first day of this season, and making it to the major will be a long journey. Nearly a whole month in China, if you’re participating in RMR, so it will be very important to reach the right level of recovery at the right time and peak just before the tournament.”

On 28 August, MOUZ will start their run in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 tournament in Serbia. In the first round of the playoffs, Skaradeck’s team will face Eternal Fire.
