SAW has moved arrozdoce to the bench
The Portuguese esports club SAW has announced a roster change in its Counter-Strike 2 team, with Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing stepping down. The announcement was made on the organisation’s page on the social network X.
According to the official statement, arrozdoce informed the club of his intention to leave the team by the end of the year, and SAW decided to bench him. Rafael had been part of SAW for the past year and a half, since April 2023.
The vacant spot in the roster has been filled by André "Ag1l" Gil, who has been registered as SAW’s substitute player for the upcoming RMR tournament ahead of the Shanghai Major. Before this, Gil played for Rhyno. His average rating over the past three months stands at 1.02 (across 84 maps).
SAW’s updated roster will debut at the upcoming ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, set to take place from 25 to 27 October in Katowice, Poland. The total prize pool for the event will be $100,000.
It is worth noting that the team recently secured 3rd-4th place at ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 and reached the top four at IEM Cologne 2024. Currently, SAW is ranked 11th in the HLTV world rankings.
