S1mple: "NAVI doesn't need s1mple, Sasha needs NAVI"
Counter-Strike 2 player Alexander "s1mple" Kostyliev shared his thoughts on the current state of Natus Vincere, noting that his former team lacks "professional egoism." He expressed that while he is genuinely happy with how the team is performing, their lack of aggressive self-belief frustrates him. S1mple also mentioned that he has entered a new relationship and feels he is no longer needed by NAVI.
"NAVI doesn't need s1mple; Sasha needs NAVI. Some things are hard to talk about, but motivation has never disappeared. I'm genuinely very happy with how the guys are playing, but sometimes they lack professional egoism, and that frustrates me. It's not enough for Era; they need more time, and they have it. It's sad to realise that I'm not part of the team, the team I've been with since 2016.
I played on LAN for the first time, even if it was just a show match — the game feels different, like you don't need to use the 'iron.' I saw Yustik's emotions; know that your aura is getting better and better. Overall, I'm sorry, but I have my reasons for feeling this way. Yes, I've been wrong in many places, but you also act like I did when I was 18.
I've now found a relationship and finally feel happy (perhaps for a short while, haha), just kidding. Hugging everyone, hoping to return someday. I’m tired of doing nothing. When I return, I'll be stronger; it's just a matter of time."
Previously, s1mple explained why he cannot return to active play and asked Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov to help facilitate his release from NAVI so he can return to esports.
