One of the creators of the Assembly map and co-author of six other official maps in Counter-Strike 2 posted a cryptic message on their social media page on X about a "flight delay." The image attached to the post contains a QR code leading to the official CS website.
"My flight got delayed. Does anyone have any epic Counter-Strike clips to help me pass the time?"
Many fans of the game interpreted this post as a hint that Valve has delayed the release of a major update in Dota 2, which was supposed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Counter-Strike.
Rumours suggest that the developers might have made this decision due to bugs found on the maps set to be featured in the new patch. Specifically, map creator Lillykyu discovered several issues with the aforementioned de_assembly. Valve has not provided any official information regarding the update.
A few days ago, the publisher of Counter-Strike in China announced a large-scale celebration for the game's anniversary. The preliminary announcement of the event hinted at a new operation.
