Rumours: Falcons want to buy m0NESY and NiKo from G2

According to insider, streamer, and GenOne owner Sébastien "KRL" Pérez, the Saudi Arabian esports organisation Falcons is interested in acquiring Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov from G2's Counter-Strike 2 roster.

KRL reports that the Falcons' management has offered Kovač a substantial salary—approximately €85,000 per month. It is speculated that NiKo and m0NESY would replace Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and Álvaro "SunPayus" García. Notably, last autumn, the Falcons had already attempted to acquire the Bosnian and Russian esports players from G2.

Previously, insiders Vladislav "harumi" Radvilovich and Alexey "OverDrive" Biryukov reported that the Saudi club is actively seeking ways to strengthen its team, with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen potentially becoming the new team captain. The organisation has not made any official statements on the matter yet.

Recently, the Falcons competed at the ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 LAN tournament in Jönköping, Sweden, where they secured second place, earning a spot in the September ESL Pro League Season 20.
