FaZe player Robin "ropz" Kool shared his expectations for the final stage of IEM Cologne 2024, which starts on 16 August in Cologne. In an interview with HLTV, Kool expressed confidence in his team's abilities.
"We’re very confident in ourselves. Even in the match against Vitality, we could have won 2-0 after taking them to overtime on Dust2. I felt we had a chance to close out the game in our favour. The rounds on Anubis against Vitality were intense; they won a couple of clutches. So far, we have very promising results here in Cologne, and we'll see how the playoffs go. If we perform in the playoffs as we have in the past, we are aiming for the trophy."
The Estonian esports player also mentioned that he does not aspire to be a star player on the team and is content with being a stable and reliable player.
"People look at me as if I’m s1mple, ZywOo, or donk, but I’m not one of them. I’ve never said I was one of them, and I’ve never wanted to be a star player. I’m just a guy who’s ready to be a stable player for the team and provide reliability when it’s needed."
As a reminder, FaZe secured a spot in the final stage of IEM Cologne 2024. In the lower bracket final of Group A, the team defeated Liquid 2-1. Before that, FaZe eliminated Falcons from the tournament.
