The esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas announced a forced roster change in their Counter-Strike 2 lineup. Instead of Fredrik "REZ" Sterner, 17-year-old Polish player Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara will compete for the roster at ESL Pro League Season 19. Representatives of the team shared this information on social media.
The club stated that REZ would miss the championship due to illness. xKacpersky has been a part of the Ninjas in Pyjamas youth roster since April 2024. The Polish player's debut for the main team will take place in a match against Heroic, scheduled for April 30 at 17:30 MSK.
ESL Pro League Season 19 is taking place from April 23 to May 12 in Malta. Teams are competing for a prize pool of $750,000 and a slot at IEM Cologne 2024.
