The Chinese team Rare Atom emerged as the winner of the small online tournament, 5E Arena Asia Cup Fall 2024, which served as a qualification event for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 in Counter-Strike 2.
In the tournament final, Rare Atom defeated TYLOO with a score of 2:0. The MongolZ also participated in the competition but did not advance past the group stage.
Recently, Rare Atom made changes to their Counter-Strike 2 roster by bringing back 29-year-old Malaysian esports athlete Andrew "kaze" Khong.
The 5E Arena Asia Cup Fall 2024 took place from July 11 to 13. Participants, including the winners, did not receive any monetary prizes.
BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 will be held online from August 21 to 25 with the participation of 16 teams. The tournament prize pool amounts to $135,000. Apart from Rare Atom, teams like Zero Tenacity, M80, and AMKAL have also qualified for the tournament.
