Perseverance finalises transfer of nooz

The Venezuelan rifler has finalised his move to the Canadian organisation.

Perseverance has announced a change to their roster, replacing Chance "xaler" Palmer with former FLUFFY AIMERS player Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez. The move, first reported by Dust2.us, triggered a mini-shuffle within FLUFFY AIMERS. This led to the team acquiring Vova "bezymecc" Slobodian and Dylan "slump" N. to fill the spots left by nooz and Darius "PNDLM" Bandali.

Nooz had been with FLUFFY AIMERS for three months, having previously played for Rocket, Eros White, and The Jungle. In ESL Challenger League Season 47, nooz achieved a 0.97 rating over 18 maps. While this rating is fairly modest, it was still higher than all but CoJoMo’s rating on Take Flyte last season.

In replacing xaler, Perseverance is likely seeking more experience, given that xaler only had one ECL season under his belt. Additionally, the team had previously released xaler along with Justin "Sandman" and coach Drake "snakedrake" Silvestro at the start of the year, making xaler’s long-term prospects with the team questionable.

Perseverance's current roster is:

  • John "mds" Marin (USA)
  • Gabriel "Gabe" Shah (USA)
  • Collin "CoJoMo" Moren (USA)
  • Cory "shutout" Frymark
  • Nelvin "nooz" Gonzalez (Venezuela)
  • Mark "CooperTrooper" Cooper (USA) (Coach)

Perseverance has already fielded nooz in the NA Revival Series #1 and CCT NA Series #2. Their first match with him in ESL Challenger League Season 48 is scheduled against Limitless on July 30th.
