According to the contract initially offered by the organisation Virtus.pro to Andrey "XomA" Mironenko, the coach was not supposed to receive a share of prize money and sticker sales for 12 months.
This information was revealed by insider and scout Alexey "OverDrive" Biryukov. In a message posted on Telegram, Biryukov stated that Mironenko did not agree to these terms.
"The first contract terms Virtus.pro offered XomA were a bit unusual: for a year, XomA wouldn't receive prize money or a share of sticker sales."
The Russian esports player himself commented on the insider’s statement on social media platform X.
"I'll add more to what OverDrive said: until the end of 2025, I am not even supposed to receive a salary."
It’s worth noting that in early June this year, Virtus.pro announced XomA’s appointment as the coach of their Counter-Strike 2 team. He replaced Dastan "dastan" Akbaev, who was relieved of his duties on May 30. Before joining Virtus.pro, Mironenko worked with 9 Pandas and Entropiq.
Under XomA’s leadership, Virtus.pro finished 3rd-4th at the recent BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 in London, earning $40,000 in prize money.
