OverDrive: "NAVI is not ready to dominate"

Insider and scout Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov shared his thoughts on his personal Telegram channel regarding NAVI's victory over G2 in the Esports World Cup 2024 final. Biryukov highlighted the inconsistency of NAVI's players, which hindered their ability to dominate the professional Counter-Strike 2 scenes.

"A well-deserved victory for NAVI! G2 started Ancient in their typical style—aggressive and confident, and everything seemed to be going well. But then NAVI began to fight back, and G2 was somewhat taken aback by it. They had to give their all to win Ancient, but after that, they were out of steam. The next two maps were under complete domination. Order and structure surpass class!

By the way, I still hold my opinion about NAVI. Structurally, they are one of the strongest teams in CS (thanks to B1ad3). But individually, NAVI is not ready to dominate. Today, each player shows their prime, but only Igor consistently maintains his prime level, while the others fluctuate greatly from tournament to tournament. If NAVI's players perform below their prime, any top-6 team can outplay them."

The Esports World Cup 2024 took place from 17 to 21 July in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The event's prize pool was one million US dollars.
