Insider and scout Alexey "OverDrive" Biryukov has shared new rumours about potential changes in G2's Counter-Strike 2 roster following the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.
Biryukov confirmed the transfer of Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa from the American organisation M80, which was previously reported by Dust2.us. According to the insider, the Guatemalan esports player is almost certain to join G2 and replace Nemanja "nexa" Isaković.
Additionally, the club might part ways with Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, who missed the recent IEM Dallas 2024 tournament for personal reasons (Jake "Stewie2K" Yip played in his stead). OverDrive did not specify who would replace the Danish player on the roster.
G2 will face Vitality in a decisive match in the group stage of the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024. The winner will advance to the playoffs. The team may have to play this match without Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.
The current G2 roster is:
- Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
- Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
- Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
- Nemanja "nexa" Isaković
- Viktor "TaZ" Wojtas (coach)
