OG and Fnatic advance to IEM Rio 2024 closed qualifiers

OG defeated B8 Esports in the semi-finals of the first open qualifier for IEM Rio 2024 in Europe for CS2. The match ended with a score of 2-0 — 16-14 on Inferno and 13-10 on Ancient. F1KU's team, led by Macej Miklas, advanced to the closed qualifiers.

In a parallel match, Fnatic won against Team QUAZAR with a score of 2-1 — 11-13 on Anubis, 13-3 on Ancient, and 13-9 on Vertigo. Benjamin "blameF" Bremer's team also progressed to the closed qualifiers.

The first open qualifier for IEM Rio 2024 in Europe took place from 14 to 15 August. Teams competed for two slots in the closed qualifiers.
