NiKo shared how he trains his aim
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, rifler for G2 Esports in CS2, has shared his tips for honing shooting skills in a recent YouTube video on the club's channel. He detailed his approach to improving accuracy, movement, and other key aspects of gameplay.
NiKo mentioned that, like other professional players, he practices precision on the Aim Botz map. He begins by adjusting his mouse sensitivity and then warms up his wrist by aiming at the appearing targets on the completely open arena to get accustomed to his aim movement.
Next, NiKo focuses on one section of the training map by completely covering off three areas. At this stage, he aims to achieve around 500 kills. If time permits, he then opens up one level on each side and, using a pistol or any other weapon, tries to shoot as quickly as possible, working on his flick shots.
The following stage of NiKo's warm-up involves playing in Deathmatch mode. He emphasised the importance of deciding which shooting style to focus on during this phase and sticking to it throughout the match, regardless of the situation. NiKo personally favours single shots, believing that rapid headshots provide a significant advantage and the ability to take down more opponents.
In addition to these methods, NiKo also uses the Refrag service for practice. He uses it to train pre-aiming in specific areas of the map and refine his angle-checking skills, which helps him stay more focused during games.
A crucial part of NiKo's training process is setting clear goals to avoid wasting time. He also advised developing the skill of communication during matches, staying calm, and not letting emotions affect performance.
