NiKo: "I'm quite disappointed with the development of CS2"
G2 player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač evaluated the current state of Counter-Strike 2. In an interview with BLAST.tv, the Bosnian esports athlete expressed his dissatisfaction with the game's development pace and the developers' inaction.
"I’m quite disappointed with the progression of CS2. It’s rather sad that with the release of a new game, we've taken a step back instead of two steps forward. A year has passed without significant improvements in gameplay, and there are still many bugs, issues with anti-cheat, and so on. The game is not in the best state."
Kovač also commented on his team’s position in the HLTV rankings, where they ranked in the top four as of 16 September. NiKo believes this is a fair assessment of G2.
"I think we’re in our rightful place in the rankings. I believe we’re among the best teams, but we haven’t lifted trophies in a while, unlike NAVI, Vitality, or Team Spirit. So, 3rd-4th place seems fair. I think our main competitor is NAVI; we've had tough losses against them."
