NAVI top 1, G2 and Spirit are right after them in Valve's ranking
Valve has updated the rankings of Counter-Strike teams, which determines which teams will receive invitations to the RMR closed qualifiers. This update has generated significant interest among players and fans, as the rankings decide who will get the chance to compete for spots at major tournaments.
This is one of the final updates before the invitations are issued, which are only six days away. On August 7, it will be revealed who qualifies for the closed qualifiers and who misses out. Valve's rankings are a crucial tool for identifying the best teams in Counter-Strike. Teams ranked in the top 48 in their region receive invitations to the RMR Closed Qualifiers, the first step towards competing in major tournaments.
Overall, the positions in Valve's rankings are as follows:
1. NAVI
2. G2
3. Spirit
4. MOUZ
5. Vitality
6. FaZe
7. The MongolZ
8. VP
9. Astralis
10. Eternal Fire
11. FURIA
12. HEROIC
13. Complexity
14. NIP
15. Liquid
Liquid appears in both the European and American rankings, holding the 15th and 16th positions in the world rankings. Another notable movement is 3DMAX, which, after winning the Skyesports Championship 2024, has climbed 14 places to 21st.
In the updated Valve ranking, the positions of Ukrainian teams in the European region are as follows:
- NAVI - 5th place
- B8 - 27th place
- Monte - 31st place
- Passion UA - 35th place
- FAVBET - 76th place
- kONO - 82nd place
NAVI, B8, Monte, and Passion UA have all made it into the top 48, which should secure their invitations to the RMR closed qualifiers. This is a significant step for Ukrainian teams, as participation in RMR opens the path to international tournaments, including Majors.
Interestingly, Monte appears twice in the rankings, at 31st and 39th, because Valve still considers the lineup with Gizmy, Ryu, and Woro2k, who are no longer with the team. A similar situation exists with Cloud9's former roster, now at 45th in the world rankings, but missing three new players: HeavyGod, ICY, and Interz.
The updated Valve rankings reaffirm the strong position of Ukrainian teams in the European region. The teams that have made it to the top 48 will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the closed qualifiers for RMR.
