NAVI became the champion of IEM Rio 2024

Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen’s team triumphed at the major LAN tournament IEM Rio 2024, held from 7th to 13th October in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the final, NAVI secured a 3:1 victory over MOUZ, with the following map scores: 13:11 on Inferno, 13:2 on Dust2, 6:13 on Mirage, and 13:11 on Ancient.

On their way to the final, the team eliminated two other competitors – HEROIC and Virtus.pro. Before advancing to the playoffs, NAVI placed second in their group.

NAVI earned $100,000 for claiming first place and secured a spot at IEM Katowice 2025. The runner-up, MOUZ, received $42,000. FURIA and HEROIC, who shared third and fourth place, both earned $20,000. The total prize pool for the event amounted to a quarter of a million US dollars.
