Monte replaces STYKO with former 9INE player

The Ukrainian esports organisation Monte has announced further changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster, with Martin "STYKO" Styk leaving the team. The announcement was made on the organisation’s social media page on X. According to the official statement, the decision was made by mutual agreement.

The Slovakian esports player had been representing Monte since May of this year. Over the past three months, Styk's rating was 1.02 across 80 maps. At the beginning of August, the team had to withdraw from the CCT Season 2 European Series 7 due to STYKO, who had to take a short break for surgery.

The vacant spot on the roster has been filled by Kamil "KEi" Pietkun, who played for 9INE from August 2022 to April 2024, after which the club moved him to the bench, where he remained until now.

It’s worth noting that a month ago, Monte announced the signing of two former ENCE players, Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and Paweł "dycha" Dycha. They replaced Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk and Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss.

The current Monte roster is as follows:

- Sergey "DemQQ" Demchenkoha

- Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek

- Olek "hades" Miskiewicz

- Paweł "dycha" Dycha

- Kamil "KEi" Pietkun

- Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov (coach)

- Piotr "nawrot" Nawrocki (assistant coach)
