Vitality's member, William "mezii" Merriman, confessed in an interview with HLTV that he and his teammates were not entirely satisfied with their performance at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024. Despite this, the British player doesn't consider their tournament result a complete disappointment.
"We're disappointed. We didn't show our best game, we had chances, and we threw away a lot of rounds on both maps. It's sad to go out like this, but I'm also glad I got to experience this atmosphere – it's something I wanted.
Of course, we always aim to win, especially after I just joined the team, and we instantly found success. The main thing is that after Katowice, we progressed in all our tournaments, going far, and reaching finals one after another.
It's not exactly disappointing, but as a player, you always want to win. Especially when we were so close to victory. It's frustrating, but I wouldn't say it's a total disappointment."
Vitality lost 1-2 to Team Spirit in the semifinals of the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, finishing the championship in 3rd-4th place and receiving $40,000 in prize money.
