Falcons player Emil "Magisk" Reif shared his thoughts on his team's performance and form. The Danish esports player also identified one of the main issues with Falcons' current roster. Magisk expressed his views in an interview with HLTV.org.
"I believe that on a good day, we have the power to beat the best of the best, but we struggle with consistency. That’s what we’re working on: finding stability in everyone's gameplay, ensuring everyone feels comfortable, gaining more experience in new positions, and fine-tuning all aspects of the team. We are a new team, and although some of us have played together before, it’s a mix of players from ENCE and Vitality. The only way to truly get to know each other is by playing official matches.
Sometimes we’ve lost games because we didn’t perform individually, and in the current state of CS2, you need to be consistent and make as few mistakes as possible because there aren’t as many rounds now. With the economy and everything else in mind, you have to be sharp from the very start. Sometimes this was our weakness – we’d start playing the proper CS in elimination matches when experience kicks in because it’s all or nothing. That’s what we’re working on – being ready from the first match. Occasionally, our individual power is a bit inconsistent, but we’re moving in the right direction. We’re also now winning games, even when we don’t feel we’re playing at 100%, and I think that’s a good sign."
Yesterday, Reif's team emerged as the second winner of the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 online tournament for Counter-Strike 2. Today, Falcons defeated 9z in BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2, advancing to the group A grand final and securing a spot in the playoffs.
