M0NESY on Snap Tap: "I don't think it's a hard edge"

G2 player Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov shared his thoughts on the Snap Tap function, which has recently been banned on official Counter-Strike 2 servers. The Russian esports player discussed his opinion with viewers during a livestream.

"I tried Snap Tap. I played qualifiers and in Cologne as well. Honestly, I’d say it’s decent; it helps you. But I don't think it gives that much of an unfair advantage."

Recently, the tournament operator BLAST officially banned the use of the Snap Tap feature, available to Razer keyboard owners, as well as similar scripts, at their Counter-Strike 2 tournaments. This new rule came into effect at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, which started on 21 August.

It’s also worth mentioning that the developers of Counter-Strike 2 recently made an official statement banning the use of Snap Tap and any similar binds that offer the same effect on their official servers.
