The sniper of G2 Esports CS2 team, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, commented on the addition of the new captain, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, to the team. During a personal broadcast, he also stated that he had suggested to Nikola "NiKo" Kovac to take on this role, but NiKo declined.

"[Question: Who invited Snax to the team?] All of us together, as a collective. What did you think? Well, it was NiKo who kicked everyone out again, as always. NiKo, as always, kicked everyone out and brought in his own. NiKo didn't like the top-5 captain. Well, that's a joke. <...> I told NiKo: 'Bro, you should become the captain.' But he doesn't want to."

On July 3rd, G2 Esports introduced a new captain for their CS2 roster. Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski replaced Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, a former GamerLegion member.

At IEM Dallas 2024, G2 Esports competed without HooXi. His spot in the lineup was temporarily filled by Jake "Stewie2k" Yip, with captain duties shifting to NiKo. The team emerged as champions of the tournament.
