CS2 coach Anatoly "liTTle" Yashin commented on Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski joining G2 Esports' roster. On his personal Telegram channel, he pondered why Nikola "NiKo" Kovac did not become the team's new captain.
"Overall, Snax is one of the best choices for captaincy, but again... Dallas was won by NiKo's calls, who hasn't been shining in his gameplay lately and perhaps got caught up in the waves of leadership there. It seems NiKo doesn't want to be a captain but rather a free spirit. The rhetorical question is: 'Will NiKo listen to Snax's calls?' Too much freedom for star players doesn't lead to anything good. Overall, from the outside, it looks like G2 is learning."
On July 3rd, G2 Esports introduced a new captain for their CS2 roster. Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski replaced Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, a former GamerLegion member. The club had also announced the signing of Mario "malbsMd" Samayo, who took over Nemanja "nexa" Isakovic's place in the starting roster.
