KENSI: "R3salt has been trying to join another team this whole time"
Aurora player Alexander "KENSI" Gurkin clarified the situation regarding the departure of Evgeny "r3salt" Frolov to 9 Pandas in an interview with eScoreNews. The Russian esports player explained why he and his teammates reacted negatively towards Frolov.
"R3salt was trying to leave for another team all this time and didn’t tell anyone on the team about it, as he claims. None of the players knew because he didn't approach any of us personally. Therefore, all comments from me and Norwi are entirely justified, given his attitude towards us. Certainly, he is a good and kind person, but he behaved very poorly as a teammate."
KENSI also addressed the issues within the team, stating that he did not understand what r3salt meant by calling Aurora a "sinking ship."
"Of course, it’s not just about off-game problems. We had various in-game difficulties with r3salt that we discussed and tried to fix. It wasn’t like we were sitting idly by doing nothing. Everyone worked hard, aimed for improvement, and tried to resolve issues. It’s clear that the problems weren’t only caused by r3salt; there were also global difficulties. I didn’t understand his comment about a sinking ship because even before the news of his departure, we didn’t have any major issues."
It’s worth noting that a few days ago, the esports organisations 9 Pandas and Aurora reached an agreement for a player swap: Evgeny "r3salt" Frolov joined 9 Pandas, while Timur "clax" Sabirov moved to Aurora.
