Kassad: "The teams decided to stay"

The coach of BLEED, Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunovic, stated that the participants of the Skyesports Masters 2024 agreed to compete in the championship on the condition that all subsequent matches would proceed without delays, according to the schedule. The Serbian cyber sportsman shared this on social network X.

"The teams decided to stay and play in the tournament but issued an ultimatum. In the event of further delays, everyone will head home."

Aurora eSports Club commentator, RomaDaGGeR, added that at least one more team considered withdrawing from the competition following BetBoom Team, but ultimately the participants decided to give the organisers another chance.

"Eternal Fire wanted to withdraw from the tournament, but in the end, they stayed. Kudos to them, of course. The organisers are very concerned about this tournament and are extremely saddened by how things turned out.

The venue was supposed to have good tables, a lot of high-quality monitors were stopped at customs, and the hotel staff were supposed to provide tables, but you know what kind of tables they provided.

The key reason the teams stayed (besides the Valve ranking) is the reputation of cyber sports in India. The teams believed in the organisers and gave them a chance. If they had left, I think we wouldn't see any more events in India, or we would see them again in 10 years."

The Skyesports Masters 2024 will take place from 23 to 28 July in Mumbai, India, at the Taj Lands End venue. The tournament is being held in a closed format, without spectators. The prize pool for the championship is $300,000.
