JOTA became a free agent

The 26-year-old Brazilian esports player Jonathan "JOTA" Wiliam has left the South American organisation Imperial and has become a free agent. This was officially announced by Imperial's management on social media.

JOTA represented Imperial from January to September last year, after which he was placed on the bench. At the beginning of 2024, he spent a few weeks on loan with the Brazilian team LOS; however, the organisation disbanded its roster in February, leaving him inactive since then.

There are currently no updates on JOTA's future plans. Throughout his professional Counter-Strike career, which began in 2018, he has earned $65,000 in prize money. With Imperial, he achieved first place at the BLAST Premier Spring American Showdown 2023 and reached the top four at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023. Before joining Imperial, he played for teams such as MIBR, Bravos, and Keyd Stars.
