Innersh1ne: "This Cloud9 roster won't be title contenders"
Assistant coach of the South American team FURIA, Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin, shared his impressions of working with team captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in an interview with esports.ru. Britvin compared the Brazilian to Finn "karrigan" Andersen.
"I find it very comfortable to work with him. His thought process is, so to speak, globally similar to how karrigan thinks. I had a long and successful experience working with a captain of this type, and I knew I would get along well with FalleN. It’s relatively easy to work with him because he loves working and understands that significant effort is needed for success. His extensive experience allows him to quickly convert my ideas and thoughts into practical terms, making our work very straightforward and efficient. In a nutshell, I can set the general direction, and FalleN and the team refine the details themselves, adapting my ideas. The team always approaches this with enthusiasm; they are open-minded, so to speak. It’s very pleasant."
The Russian esports player also assessed the prospects of the new Cloud9 roster for Counter-Strike 2, stating that he does not expect the team to contend for titles.
"It depends on what we consider stable performance for them. That needs to be clearly defined from the start. In my view, this Cloud9 roster will not be contending for titles. They might need to make a specific change, and then it could improve. However, I think that in a month or two, they could achieve some decent, good results. Again, we’re not talking about winning tournaments."
