Assistant coach for the South American team FURIA, Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin, summarised his team's performance at IEM Cologne 2024. In his personal Telegram channel, innersh1ne reflected on FURIA's performance at the German championship, noting areas for improvement but also highlighting positive aspects.
"Analysing our results, I concluded that, despite the obvious areas for improvement (with an unstable map pool and challenges in both attack and defence), things aren't as bad as they might seem.
Here are the teams we lost to:
- Once to Vitality
- Once to NAVI
- Once to MOUZ
- Twice to Liquid during their peak month.
All the matchups were close, and we won the matches where we were the favourites. So, it's all good; we'll keep working. Ahead of us are BetBoom Dacha and ESL Pro League."
Britvin also mentioned that he will not be able to obtain the visa required for the ESL Pro League Season 20, which will be held in Malta. Vyacheslav will assist his team remotely.
For context, FURIA lost two matches in a row in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2024, finishing in 13-16th place after advancing through the Play-In stage.
