The average monthly player base for Counter-Strike 2 has once again started to decline. In September 2024, the game’s average online player count dropped by 6.8% (approximately 61,000 players) compared to the previous month.
Conversely, the peak player count in September increased compared to the August figure, rising from 1.425 million to 1.473 million users. The analytical service Steam Charts provided this data.
It is worth noting that three small updates were released for Counter-Strike 2 in the previous month. The most recent one improved the mechanics of training matches. Additionally, CS2 introduced Snap Tap detection for community servers in an earlier update.
