IM: "We managed to win two maps without preparation"

NAVI's Mihai "iM" Ivan commented on his team's victory over MOUZ in the semi-finals of IEM Cologne 2024. The Romanian esports player admitted that he and his teammates were surprised by their opponents' choice of Inferno. Ivan shared his thoughts in an interview with bo3.gg.

"It was close, and there were things we didn’t expect. The pick of Inferno was certainly unexpected. But I am very pleased that we managed to win both maps!"

"To be honest, we weren’t prepared for that map. We didn’t anticipate it; we thought they would choose a different map. But they went with Inferno. It caught us off guard. However, as I said, I am very happy that we managed to win both maps without any preparation. I think that says something, doesn’t it?"

iM also addressed why NAVI performs well and consistently on Mirage, attributing their success to the chemistry among the players.

"Our Mirage is strong because we understand each other very well and know how to respond to almost any situation, even those we haven’t encountered before. We have excellent chemistry on that map."
