IEM Rio 2024 Spectator's Guide

The major LAN tournament IEM Rio 2024 will take place from 7 to 13 October in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sixteen teams will compete for a $250,000 prize pool and a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.

The group stage will follow the GSL format, with two groups of eight teams. The opening matches will be best-of-one (BO1), while the rest will be best-of-three (BO3).

The top three teams from each group will progress to the playoffs, which will be played in a single-elimination BO3 format (BO5 for the final). The group winners will advance directly to the semifinals.

- The MongolZ (bLitz, Techno, Senzu, mzinho, 910)

Prize distribution:

1st place: $100,000 + a spot at IEM Katowice 2025  

2nd place: $42,000  

3rd-4th place: $20,000 each  

5th-6th place: $10,000 each  

7th-8th place: $6,000 each  

9th-12th place: $5,000 each  

13th-16th place: $4,000 each
