Nemanja "huNter-" Kovac from G2 discussed his team’s victory over FaZe in the group stage of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 for Counter-Strike 2, currently taking place in Copenhagen, in an interview with HLTV.org.
"I feel good. Overall, I'm pleased with how we played, especially our comeback after Inferno. Although we lost a few rounds on defence, I think our attacking style on Mirage was as it should be. On defence, we just need to fix a few mistakes—mainly individual ones—and then we’ll feel much more confident."
The Bosnian esports player also highlighted the contributions of coach Viktor "TaZ" Wojtas and captain Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski to the team.
"TaZ does his best to help everyone, and as I mentioned, Snax is working hard to strengthen us as a team. It's tough for him to focus on his own game, so his stats aren't the best, but he'll find his form. TaZ aids us particularly on defence, trying to make us stronger at the moment, while Snax focuses on his role in attack. They alternate their efforts, but if we reach a point where they can balance both sides together, I believe we’ll be where we want to be. We’re all truly pushing ourselves to improve as a team and are working hard individually to maintain consistent performance."
Tomorrow, on 25th September, G2 will face NAVI in the final match of Group A at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024. The winner of this matchup will advance directly to the quarter-finals and secure at least a 3rd-4th place finish in the tournament.
