Hooch explained how it selects players at Cloud9
Temporary assistant coach of Cloud9's Counter-Strike 2 team, Dmitry hooch Bogdanov, discussed recruiting new players for the team. Bogdanov shared this information in an interview with the "Cyber" portal.
"[Question: You're now with Cloud9. What are you doing there?] Kostya asked me to assist with scouting new talent after three players left the team. It was tough for him to handle alone, so he brought me on board. Kostya has been my captain and coach for a long time, so I readily agreed, especially since I've often had success finding young players in the past. Nowadays, the system is different: scouting is much harder because academy teams are relentless and snatch up everyone.
[Question: How does this process work?] The bulk of the scouting tasks are handled by me and Groove, with active participation from Boombl4 and Ax1Le. Alongside other members of Cloud9, I propose candidates for specific roles: providing descriptions of their playstyle, assessing their suitability for particular roles, and attempting to create a psychological profile of the player where possible. After that, everything is handled by Kostya and manager Sasha."
In the spring, Cloud9 announced a restructuring of their team. Initially, Denis electroNic Sharipov departed for Virtus.pro, followed by Abay HObbit Hasenov and Ilya Perfecto Zalutskiy moving to the inactive roster. The club also parted ways with assistant coach Ivan F_1N Kochugov. Management is assembling a new lineup around Sergey Ax1Le Rykhtorov and Kirill Boombl4 Mikhailov.
