Hooch calls B1ad3 the benchmark coach in CS
Coach Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov explained why he considers NAVI's Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodensky to be an exemplary coach in the professional Counter-Strike scene. According to Bogdanov, Gorodensky stands out from other coaches due to his intelligence, attention to detail, and excellent understanding of the game. He shared his thoughts in an interview on the "Okko Cyber" channel.
"Of course, it’s B1ad3, without a doubt. He is a huge fan of his craft, noticing every little detail. He’s very attentive to the nuances and an excellent strategist. A very intelligent person and my friend.
B1ad3 really knows the game inside out. I can’t say he’s a tough psychologist, as we haven’t worked together for quite a while. But I can definitely say that his understanding of the game and his approach to all the moments that can determine the outcome are unmatched."
In a previous interview, the Russian esports athlete discussed what changes he would make to Counter-Strike 2 if given the chance. Specifically, Bogdanov believes that Valve should adopt some of the practices from Riot Games regarding anti-cheat development. He also contemplated why the developers decided to tackle the Jumpthrow mechanic.
