The Norwegian esports club HEROIC has released an official statement regarding the situation with Abdul "degster" Gasanov – the team's sniper will miss another tournament due to visa issues. The announcement noted that both the organisation and the player did everything within their power, but to no avail.
"We were confident that everything would be resolved in time for BLAST and Cologne, but despite all our efforts, unfortunately, it did not work out. Both degster and the organisation took all necessary steps, but there were delays and other unforeseen circumstances.
We share your disappointment, and degster himself just wants to showcase all the hard work he and the team have put in. We hope for a quick resolution to the issues.
Moving forward, we will keep you informed on time to avoid any misunderstandings. Thank you for your support."
HEROIC will start their performance at IEM Cologne 2024 without degster – Gasanov was unable to obtain the necessary visa for travel to Germany in time. This will be the third tournament the team competes in without degster; he also missed IEM Dallas 2024 and was unable to attend BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024.
