Representatives from the esports organisations Heroic and Natus Vincere playfully mocked the participants of Astralis, who were accused of potentially lying about Alexander "br0" Bro's illness to replace him with Casper "cadiaN" Møller at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 for CS2. They posted "positive tests for br0VID-19" on their social media, claiming that their players had "contracted" the fictional illness.
According to official information from Astralis, Bro was unable to attend the event due to illness, which allowed Møller to register for the tournament even after the roster lock. However, Bro's agent later stated that the player was in good health. Following this revelation, all team captains, except for those from Astralis and Team Spirit, skipped the media day in protest.
Subsequently, BLAST representatives announced that they would review the situation regarding the replacement more closely and impose fines on the Danish roster if necessary. The players who chose to miss the media day might also face penalties. The matches for the event will take place from September 25 to 29 in Copenhagen.
