Newly minted member of Cloud9, Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, commented on his joining the American club. In a statement to the Metaratings portal, the eSports player admitted that he didn't fully believe he would become a Cloud9 player, but now he is pleased with his decision.
"The emotions are great. I didn't believe I would join Cloud9, but now I am happy. Everyone here is kind and helps me grow as both a player and a person."
HeavyGod also shared the team's goal for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, which starts in just a few days.
"Our preparation is solid. We train a lot and analyse everything. I don't think we can be 100% ready for this tournament, but we will do everything we can to perform at our best. Our goal is to make it to the top 6."
BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 29 July to 4 August. The event's prize pool is $190,000. Cloud9 has been placed in the same group as FaZe, G2, and NIP.
