Haters need to admit they were wrong

Liquid's sniper, Roland "ultimate" Tomkovyak, commented on his team's victory over FURIA in the lower bracket of the group stage at IEM Cologne 2024 in Germany. In an interview with HLTV.org, the Polish esports player noted that he is enjoying the tournament and not overly focused on the results.

He shared that he is maintaining a positive mindset, saying, "We won! I am enjoying my time here. I am not too focused on the result because I can’t control it. I am just learning. This is a learning phase for me. My first tournaments, my first major tournaments, so to speak. Only positive thoughts, even when you lose."

Tomkovyak also addressed critics who openly doubted his readiness to compete in a tier-1 team after joining Liquid.

He remarked, "They can say whatever they want. That’s their opinion. I can’t be angry about it. They are entitled to their thoughts. I came from nowhere, so to speak. I came from a Polish team that few people know about. But they should acknowledge that they were wrong."

Liquid began their campaign in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2024 with a loss to FaZe. They then secured a decisive victory over FURIA and advanced to the second round of the lower bracket.
