The German club BIG announced the removal of Fatih "gob b" Dayik from the position of head coach. His place will be taken by Alexander "kakafu" Shimanchik, who previously served as an analyst on the coaching staff.
The reasons for gob b's dismissal are not disclosed. However, the announcement notes that the decision was made after ESL Pro League Season 19, where the team managed to reach the playoffs, ultimately finishing 13-16th.
Dayik has been leading BIG's main roster since May 2022. The team's major achievements under his leadership include winning the Roobet Cup 2022, finishing 2nd at Elisa Masters Espoo 2022, as well as 3-4th place at the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 and IEM Dallas 2022.
At the moment, it is unclear whether Gob B will remain with the organization, of which he has been a part since its founding in 2017.
BIG's next tournament will be IEM Dallas 2024. The competition, with a prize pool of $250,000, will occur from May 27 to June 2 in the USA.
