Gabe Follower: Valve has banned over 300 thousand farm accounts
Valve Corporation continues its active fight against the use of accounts as bots to obtain free cases from matches played on official servers. This was reported by Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poletaev on the social network X.
According to various sources, the data miner learned that the latest wave of bans affected over 300,000 accounts. Notably, it was Gabe Follower who previously demonstrated the operation of these so-called "farms" in China.
The previous wave of account bans, targeting those involved in "farming," was observed at the end of April. Valve has not commented on their efforts to combat these unscrupulous users.
It's worth noting that the operation of "farms" involves virtually no activity on official servers, aimed solely at obtaining free cases for later sale. These bot accounts can go unnoticed by regular players, filling servers or excluding "outsiders" through instant voting.
