Frozen after the match with NAVI

FaZe player David "frozen" Čerňanský shared his thoughts on his team's victory over NAVI in the group stage of the BLAST Premier World Final 2024, expressed his expectations for the playoffs, and discussed FaZe's goals for the remainder of the year. He shared his insights in an interview with HLTV.

"It's just a great feeling," Čerňanský said. "We've had tough BO3 matches against this team, so it's really satisfying to finally win. This victory is important for us. It's a good step forward, and I hope we can pick up momentum."

He expressed excitement about reaching the playoffs, especially after struggling in several previous tournaments. Looking at the competition, Čerňanský emphasised his focus on his own performance. "If we can come out and play good Counter-Strike, I believe we can put up a strong fight against any opponent."

Čerňanský reiterated FaZe's ambition to reach the top and aim for trophies. "There's not much else to say. These are the last two tournaments of the year, and they are the most significant. There are only eight of the world's best teams here, right? And, of course, there's the Major coming up. Our first goal for the Major is to qualify, and from there, we'll take it stage by stage, match by match. But yes, we're always aiming high."

Despite acknowledging a challenging period for FaZe, Čerňanský remained optimistic. "I don’t think we are that far off from the level we were at before, the form we had at the start. Win is a step in the right direction, in my opinion."

BLAST Premier World Final 2024 is taking place from 30 October to 3 November in Singapore, with a total prize pool of one million US dollars shared among the eight participating teams. Following their victory over NAVI, FaZe has advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
