Flamie on returning to CS

Professional player Egor "flamie" Vasilyev shared his views on the cyber sports scene in the CIS region in an interview with Esports.ru, reflecting on how the professional scene today differs from when he began his career.

"Even now, the CIS region and CIS players are the best in the world, and we will see even more young talents and great teams in the future.

Today, many academies with a lot of staff and good coaches can teach talented players professional CS from scratch. We didn’t have that; we learned everything ourselves and did everything on our own. It will only get more professional and better from here. I am sure that sooner or later, it will reach the scale of professional sports."

Vasilyev also discussed the possibility of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev returning to the NAVI Counter-Strike 2 roster and evaluated the Ukrainian's personal qualities.

"I think anything is possible because s1mple is the best player in the history of CS:GO. If he trains hard in CS2, he may dominate again. Sasha is a good, pleasant person in real life."

Additionally, flamie gave a vague answer regarding his plans to return to the professional Counter-Strike scene. "Anything is possible, but right now I am more focused on my business and media development," the Russian cyber sportsman stated.

In a recent interview, flamie assessed his prospects on the pro scene. According to Vasilyev, he does not have a very high chance of returning to the top level of competitive Counter-Strike.
