Flamie about fan hints on LAN

Former professional CS player Egor "flamie" Vasilyev spoke about the impact of crowd cues on match outcomes during LAN tournaments. He shared his personal experiences in a Telegram post.

"Regarding fan cues:

I’ve played in large arenas many times, and I can tell you that the noise of a massive crowd can be heard even through headsets and soundproofing. During a defuse or a flank, the shouts from fans often influence critical moments. This works both ways; it doesn’t matter which team the crowd is trying to support—when the entire stadium is shouting during a crucial moment, all ten players understand what’s happening. Sometimes players even turn around in response to the crowd’s shouts, just in case."

Earlier, a similar incident involving audience cues occurred during ESL Pro League Season 20, which was noted by Natus Vincere coach Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodensky during the final series.
