Fer: "I won't lie, I want to return to the pro scene"
Renowned Brazilian esports player Fernando "fer" Alvarenga has expressed his desire to return to the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene. Although he has officially retired and stopped playing, he would not hesitate to consider a comeback if offered something "interesting." Alvarenga shared his thoughts in an interview with the Dust2 Brasil portal.
"I won’t lie, I want to return. I came to the show match [at IEM Rio 2024] and told chelo: 'Brother, I don’t even remember how to set everything up, help me.' The energy was incredible, with so many fans around. I lived this for many years, and I miss it. I say I’ve retired because I stopped playing. But if something interesting comes up, I won’t hesitate."
To recap, Fernando’s last team was Imperial, which he left at the beginning of last year. Before that, he played for MIBR, SK, Luminosity, and other organisations. Fer won two majors — MLG Columbus 2016 with Luminosity and ESL One Cologne 2016 with SK. Throughout his professional CS career, which began in 2011, Alvarenga has earned over a million dollars in prize money.
