Eternal Fire took place at IEM Rio 2024

Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli's team has emerged as the first winner of the closed European qualifier for the autumn IEM Rio 2024 Championship in Counter-Strike 2.

In the upper bracket final, Eternal Fire defeated Falcons with a 2:0 victory (13:11 on Vertigo, 13:8 on Anubis). Before that, they knocked Cloud9 and B8 into the lower bracket.

The second spot for IEM Rio 2024 will be contested in the lower bracket final between Falcons and HEROIC. Consequently, all other teams in the qualifiers—fnatic, Cloud9, 3DMAX, OG, and B8—will miss out on the tournament in Brazil.

IEM Rio 2024 will take place from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, featuring 16 teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool. The winner will earn a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
